Sakura is a polite and cheerful young girl that is a bit naïve and clueless towards people who might do her harm but is very perceptive and worried about her friends. She feels guilty that everyone is finding her feathers for her so she does her best to work hard and be of help to her friends. She is very optimistic and always smiles to make everything better.

At the point of her death, Sakura is not the cheerful innocent child the Original shows to be at the beginning. She has found out some harsh truths and witnessed painful situations. Although she has died she holds no regrets and still loves Clone Shaoran. She is still a caring and selfless person, offering her ‘fate’ as a payment to save Fai’s life.

History:

At the start of the series in both manga and anime, Sakura is the princess of the Kingdom of Clow who has feelings for Syaoran, her childhood friend.When she is about to confess her feelings, a mysterious force causes her own dormant magical powers to manifest in the form of feathered wings. When her feathers are scattered across time and space, Syaoran vows to recover all of them because each feather represents a memory Sakura has had since birth and are connected to her heart; without the feathers, she will die.
He travels to meet Yuuko, who grants wishes, and there he meets with two other people, Fai and Kurogane. They had all had different wishes that came down to the same thing: to travel dimensions. Thus, they’re given such power in form of Mokona and they start journeying in order to get her feathers back.

They pass through many dimensions before they arrive Tokyo. It is then revealed that the Shaoran travelling with them is a replica and he possessed half the heart of the original on his right eye. When the seal breaks he becomes a soulless puppet and eats Fai’s left eye because of the magic it contained. Meanwhile the Real Shaoran arrives that world and the two fight.

[AU start]Just when they’re about to stab each other Sakura gets in the way and is stabbed instead. She dies in the clone’s arms without having time to say her true feelings for him. Meanwhile Fai is about to die from the shock and bloodloss, having no wish to live even less now that Sakura is dead. Sakura’s still earth bound spirit wishes that Fai will live. Her price is a harsh one: she would remain earth bound forever, her spirit never able to rest in peace. Fai's spirit had already left his body and Sakura was able to hold him back, only thinking in distress that he couldn't die. By doing this, her spirit also got stuck in the mortal plane. Meanwhile Kurogane wished for the vampire blood to heal his body and the soul went back in it.
Her body is left at the bottom of the reservoir along with a feather, that would never allow it to rot. She travels with the group once Fai recovers but is never able to touch them, all she can do is watch while her friends go on in the harsh journey to get her feathers back and to reach the Real Sakura that is still in FWR’s clutches. Sakura's price is a harsh one for her, as well as for her friends, that have to endure seeing her like that.

Thanks to her magic power, she is able to travel people’s dreams at will, meeting a boy named Watanuki like this. She feels that there is some sort of connection between Watanuki and Shaoran but she’s not sure what it is.

Special Abilities: Because Sakura is a spirit she is able to float. She can also walk into people’s dreams and see glimpses of the future.

Worst Nightmare: Death. Destruction. Blood shed everywhere. Around her there are the corpses of her dear friends. Standing alone washed in blood is Shaoran, on eye blue, the other brown – both expressionless. He had done this. He had killed them all mindlessly. She shouts his name and he gazes down on her, his eyes empty. He lunges forward, sword in hand and stabs her.

Other: In this version Sakura is a spirit. In Higure she assumes a somewhat physical form and will be able to touch certain small objects such as the PDA.
